Caroline Duong-Tran
As Director of Patient Experience and Community Relations, Caroline Duong-Tran leads marketing and public relations at Rainbow Kids Urgent Care (RKUC), overseeing RKUC’s community engagement and sponsorships, social media presence, and special events and celebrations. During RKUC’s inception, Caroline played a pivotal role in designing a welcoming, family-centered environment for children and continues to ensure that the facility remains bright, engaging, and focused on their needs.
Growing up, she had a passion for caring for others, especially children. It was no surprise that she decided on a career that combined the two. Caroline earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Diego State University. During her studies, she completed an externship in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) at Rady Children’s Hospital, which led to her role as a PICU RN. She cared for critically ill children and supported their families. It was during this time that she met her husband, Dr. John Duong-Tran. The two have been happily married for over 21 years.
After years of nursing, Caroline chose to focus on raising her five children. Over the past 15 years, she has actively served in various roles as a board member for both local and national volunteer organizations, gaining extensive experience in event planning, team building, marketing, and leadership. Today, she remains deeply involved in her community as a Sustainer member of the National Charity League, El Dorado Hills Chapter, and as a representative for Rainbow Kids Urgent Care Team at charitable events.
A recent empty nester, Caroline enjoys tennis, interior design, traveling, and most of all, spending quality time with her family – particularly when her adult children come home for a visit. She continues to strive to live up to one of her favorite movie quotes: “I’m not just a regular mom, I’m a cool mom!” though I’m sure her kids would beg to differ.
